David Dixon

David Dixon is a Senior Advisor to SIRA. He is an established expert in global anti-fraud, cyber crime, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism programs for financial institutions.

He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and has an extensive number of related publications.

He currently serves as a Strategic Advisor for InfoSec Global where he works on the development of direction and priorities for a global scale commercialization programs and engages with strategic clients in areas related to risk governance of cryptography and cyber-crime.

David has also served as Global Lead Fraud & Financial Crime at IBM, contributing insight and vision to IBM’s strategies and priorities in this area, and supporting strategic clients in the achievement of their strategic goals.

Previously David held senior positions with technology firms and a major Canadian bank leading efforts to create risk governance solutions to counter fraud, money-laundering and terrorist-financing.

David earned an MA in Economics and Business from McMaster University in Canada. He completed BMO sponsored post-graduate certificates in Advanced Management from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and in Risk Management from The Schulich School of Business at York University. David qualified as a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and is a former Chairman of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.
